About Me

Who runs this blog?

Hi, I’m Julia Dath (she/her). I’m a senior college student from the United States studying creative writing, English literature, and writing for screen media. So yeah, I love books quite a lot. I also love drinking tea, playing guitar, and watching Star Wars.

Most of the reviews on this blog fall in the Young Adult and romance genres. I was a Percy Jackson lover in elementary school and a Hunger Games super fan in middle school. Those stories shaped my journey—both in my emotional growth and career goals.

Now that I’m in my twenties and writing my own literature for young audiences, taking a look at our modern landscape of Young Adult fiction fascinates me. If you’re not reading YA right now, I hope this blog shows you how you’re missing out on a diverse, inclusive, and powerful genre of literature.

I started this blog to share my thoughts about everything book-related. I’m willing to self title as a nerd because there is no truer word. I love language. I love learning. I love taking a story apart and looking at it from 500 different angles to see what I can find. That’s what I’ll be doing here, hopefully—embarking on this journey with all of you where we find out what we’re really taking away from the media we choose to consume in our free time. I hope you find these posts interesting, insightful, and occasionally funny (though don’t get your hopes up on that part).

Feel free to contact me with any questions here and follow me on Instagram, Pinterest, and Goodreads to catch up with all of my reading habits and thoughts.
